How we handle privacy

Kids' art, from the fridge to their timeline.

Snap

Point at the drawing. Crayon Years straightens it and cleans the background. The original photo is always kept too.

Sort

Lou, Sam or Mila. One tap, and it lands in the right year.

Watch

Every age becomes a chapter. Firsts get a sticker: first face, first name, first scene.

Then & Now

Same house. Four years apart.

Crayon Years finds drawings of the same thing at different ages and puts them side by side, so you can see how your child's artwork grows up.

Mila, May 2022
Mila, May 2026

Two homes. One gallery.

Invite your co-parent and the grandparents with a link. They need an iPhone or iPad signed in to iCloud, nothing else.

  • Co-parents add and edit
  • Grandparents look, send hearts and voice reactions
  • Co-parents keep their own copy in their own iCloud, so the drawings stay with both of you, whatever happens.
How sharing works

Off the fridge, onto every screen.

Their artwork in a widget on the Home Screen, in StandBy at night, and in Frame mode on the TV or an old iPad.

And the artist, once a year.

A photo of your child each school year, kept next to that year's art like a keepsake album. Portraits never count as drawings.

What's the best way to keep kids' artwork?

The easiest way to keep kids' artwork is to digitize it: photograph each piece and store the photos somewhere safe and sorted. Crayon Years does this on iPhone and iPad. Snap a drawing and the app straightens it, cleans the background, keeps the original photo and files it under your child's age, in your own iCloud.

Why not just use Photos?

The Photos app mixes drawings in with thousands of other pictures. Crayon Years keeps only the art: it straightens and cleans each page, files every drawing under your child's age, marks firsts like a first face, and shares just the drawings with family, never your photo library. Drawings already in Photos can be imported.

Do I need iCloud?

Crayon Years needs iCloud, because every drawing is stored in your own iCloud under your Apple ID and there is no Crayon Years server. iCloud keeps the gallery safe if your iPhone is lost and brings it to your iPad. Without iCloud, drawings stay on one iPhone and can't be shared.

What happens after 24 drawings on Free?

The free plan of Crayon Years keeps 24 new drawings a year across all your children, imports included, and shows a counter from the 18th. Drawing 25 needs Pro (14 days free on the yearly plan), or you wait until the count starts again, a year after the day you started. Everything already saved always stays.

What if I stop paying?

If you stop paying for Crayon Years Pro, every drawing stays yours and you can view and export all of it, forever. Sharing with family pauses and extra widgets go back to one until you renew.

Does the other parent need to pay?

The other parent never pays for Crayon Years. The Pro plan of the parent who owns the gallery covers the whole family gallery, co-parents and grandparents included.

We're separated. Does that work?

Crayon Years works for separated and divorced parents. One parent owns the gallery and invites the other as a co-parent, each with their own Apple ID. Co-parents add and edit drawings and keep their own copy in their own iCloud, so the art stays with both parents, whatever happens.

Is there an Android app?

Crayon Years is not on Android yet. It runs on iPhone and iPad, iOS 18 or later, and everyone you invite needs an iPhone or iPad signed in to iCloud.

Do you look at my children's drawings?

Zeus Apps, the maker of Crayon Years, never sees your children's drawings: they go only to your iCloud and the people you invite. Analytics are anonymous counts, never names, photos or text, and one switch in Settings turns them off.
